Ultimate is one of the only sports where players call their own fouls, which somehow makes ultimate disc team names an even bigger deal — nobody’s letting a ref settle an argument about whether the name was funny enough.
Some teams want ultimate frisbee team names for a rec league, others need something for a college club or a coed team specifically.
This list covers every style — funny, punny, bold, pop culture — plus categories built for college teams, women’s leagues, and the sport’s self-officiated spirit.
Pick the style that fits your squad and get started.

“Frisbee” or “Disc”? Here’s Why It Matters a Little.
“Frisbee” is actually a trademarked brand name, owned by Wham-O, even though almost everyone uses it as a generic word for any flying disc. The sport’s official governing bodies — USA Ultimate and the World Flying Disc Federation — call the sport simply “Ultimate” or “ultimate disc,” not “Ultimate Frisbee.”
It’s a small distinction and won’t matter for a casual pickup game. But if you’re registering with an official league, ordering jerseys, or want your team name to sound like it knows the sport, leaning on “disc” instead of “Frisbee” is technically more accurate — and it’s exactly why so many established teams already do it.
